Red sky at night

Shepherd's delight.

A Suffolk sunset, I meant to catch it earlier, at its most splendid. But was distracted.

I raced down the garden and caught it just as it disappeared below the horizon. I feel ready to exhale now. School has finally finished. Six weeks of sunset gazing ahead. Bliss.

I am so very happy for you that the holidays have arrived for you. Time for contemplation, knitting, and maybe a few lemons? ;-)

Hubby went outside to photograph the sunset too - glorious. I hope your holiday is lovely - we are feeling more relaxed already.

Oh, may I ask that you post more of these gorgeous rosy sunsets. I had heard about sailor's delight, but really like the shepherd's delight version.

Best wishes for the holidays!
This looks like a perfect beginning for a season of bliss.

Living near the seacoast, we say, "Sailor's delight" but I like shepherd's delight too :).
Hurray for the holidays! Breathe deeply and relax.
I'm with you on that.

Happy Summer holidays,

It's so funny that we were just saying this phrase several times last week (hoping for good weather the following day). These are gorgeous photos but I'm sure in person it was even more spectacular! Have a great break!
