Happy socks

Socks for Tilly, finished. I made them big and long, I imagine them being worn inside wellies on wintery days or keeping
toes warm on crisp early mornings.

The yarn is Piece of Beauty, Hot Pink, it was a pleasure to work with and the socks knitted up very quickly in odd moments here and there. I think I would like a pair for myself, Hot Pink seems to make such very happy looking socks.

Every member of the family now has one pair of hand knitted socks, something that fills me with happiness. Time to get started on those second pairs I guess. Perhaps it may even be time to break into patterned socks...

That's the thing about socks - they're so addictive. Once you start, you are powerless to stop making them. I love the pretty hot pink; they are very cheerful!

The hot pink socks look fantastic, and I can see them being worn with wellies too. At least they match the color of the boots too. You will soon be addicted to knitting those patterned socks, I can assure you.

Fabulous colour - they look like they'll be over the knee socks on her. I love over the knee socks but never get round to knitting any as they would take forever. I lack commitment ....;0)

Isn't it a wonderful feeling to have made something with your own hands for your family? When my littles were small, I sew each of them pajamas or nightgowns for the winter. I loved the idea of them going to sleep each evening wearing something I had made for them. I can imagine Tilly walking in her wellies with her pink socks on!

Those are beauties! They look lovely with pink wellies! I wish I could wear my wellies every day--they are the most comfortable boots. Maybe if mine were pink instead of green I would.....

I can imagine a children's book about The Happy Pink Socks or something to the effect of "Red Is Best", do you know that one? I'll bet Tilly is pleased.

I was so proud of myself for just finishing my second sock I've ever knitted and I see that you completed TWO long ones in that same time! I just can't keep up! Love your socks and you're still my knitting idol.

The socks are great!! When I saw them I thought of a dress in the spring interweaves knits and the little girl is doing cartwheels. Maybe Tilly needs that dress too lol.
