Comfort Knitting

There are germs everwhere at the moment, during a break in Echinacea intake I caught this cold/sore throat thing that has been going around. I hate being ill, I find it very inconvenient. The children have both been poorly and of course the IT Advisor has had Manflu (that's right ladies, a slight cold). To combat all these germs and miseries I need comfort knitting. Kidsilk Haze is the perfect comfort yarn, luxurious, soft, fluffy, gorgeous colours. Does anyone else stroke/bury their face in their knitting every once in a while or is that just me?

I am knitting Kelly from the Erika Knight Classic Knits book. It is whizzing along surprisingly quickly and the colour was chosen to go with my new green net skirt. Happiness surely is a frothy skirt and Kidsilk Haze.

I have just ordered the book and can´t wait to get it, I hope tomorrow is THE day. Your knitting really looks like a comfort one, the yarn so soft and the colour like caramel.
I wish you speedy recoveries, and yes, I love to stroke my face with my knitting, when the yarn is soooo soft and smelling delicious.

Sounds gorgeous. You must show us the skirt and sweater together when you have finished knitting. Hope the bugs leave you soon.

Now, that knitting looks lovely. All those tiny, uniform little stitches. I think I must knit a proper garment in KSH very soon. It must feel divine. Is that colour Swish? It's very nice.

Hope you feel better soon.

I had the same reaction to your picture that I had when I was a teenager in love with with Tony Hadley of Spandau Ballet!
I looove kidsilk haze, and can't wait to knit with it again.
Hope you feel better soon.

Your sweater looks beautiful - I think knitting stockinette is so soothing sometimes. I haven't knit yet with KSH, but your picture makes me want to go buy some! Hope you feel better soon

Your yarn looks lovely, soft and fine. I really like the design of the sweater. Germs have hit me too, generously shared by school students. I understand what you mean by comfort knitting. A box of tissues, a cup of hot tea, and your work in progress, can almost make you feel better. Oh yes, and a comfy chair to work in. Hope you and your family feel better soon.

Just discovered your lovely blog. I love KSH too, but it doesn't love me and tends to behave like fluffy dental floss when I try to knit with it...
